HSBC/HKU Case Competition 2026
The Department of Law and Business is pleased to share that a student from our programme, Aurora LIU Xiaoyi (Year 2, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Law and Business), was part of a team representing Hong Kong Shue Yan University at the HSBC/HKU Case Competition 2026, held at the headquarters of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited on 7 March 2026. The team, also comprising Sam WEE Yat Sing (Year 4, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)) and Elaine LIU Xiaoyi (Year 2, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)), demonstrated strong analytical ability, innovative thinking, and effective teamwork under the guidance of Dr. Brian Wong.
Award Ceremony 2025
On 1 February 2026, the Department of Law and Business organized the Award Ceremony 2025. The ceremony recognized the best-performing students in law related subjects for the academic year 2024–2025.

Exploring Chinese Law and Culture: Students Attend Winter Camp 2025 in Beijing
A group of six students and two teachers from the Department participated in the Winter Camp organised by the Chinese University of Political Science and Law from 28 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. Held in Beijing, the programme offered an immersive academic and cultural learning experience through a combination of structured lectures, institutional visits, and cultural activities. The camp enabled students to deepen their understanding of the Chinese legal system while gaining first-hand exposure to legal institutions and historical contexts.
