On 26 December 2024, a group of six students from our Department travelled to Beijing to take part in the 2024 China University of Political Science and Law – Winter Camp for Hong Kong and Macao Law Students. Over the course of 10 days, the students had the opportunity to attend various seminars on Chinese Law, covering topics such as Constitutional Law, Securities Law, Civil Law, Criminal Law, Legal Issues regarding the Return of Chinese Cultural Property Lost Abroad and IP Law. Additionally, the students were privileged to visit the Supreme People's Court and the Hong Kong and Macao Basic Law Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, during which they were provided with valuable insights into China's judicial and legislative system. Apart from these educational actitivies, the students also had the chance to explore cultural landmarks like the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, the Forbidden City, and the Beijing Wtown Resort. These ten days were incredibly enirching, and all the students gained significant benefits from this experience.
