The Department of Law and Business is pleased to share that a student from our programme, Aurora LIU Xiaoyi (Year 2, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Law and Business), was part of a team representing Hong Kong Shue Yan University at the HSBC/HKU Case Competition 2026, held at the headquarters of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited on 7 March 2026. The team, also comprising Sam WEE Yat Sing (Year 4, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)) and Elaine LIU Xiaoyi (Year 2, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)), demonstrated strong analytical ability, innovative thinking, and effective teamwork under the guidance of Dr. Brian Wong.

Competing against teams from nine universities in Hong Kong, the team achieved the distinction of Second Runner-Up. This accomplishment reflects the students’ dedication and collaborative spirit, as well as the supportive academic environment at the University.

The Department is proud of Aurora’s contribution to this success, which highlights the value of interdisciplinary training in law and business.
