End of the Youth Law Summit 2020 - Thanks and Congratulations

The 5-day Youth Law Summit 2020, held from 31 July 2020 to 4 August 2020, was finally rounded off. Congratulations to the Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Association (“Association”) for organizing such a successful event and also to every student who participated in this event.
The Department of Law and Business of Hong Kong Shue Yan University (L&B) shares the aims of the Association to promote legal education and the rule of law in Hong Kong through lectures, tutorials, and advocacy training with secondary school students. We initially planned to hold this 5-day event on the HKSYU campus. It was however moved online via Zoom out of the safety and health concern arising from the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic during the period. Despite so, the momentum was still high, and we observed that all students actively participated and interacted with the speakers and tutors online. Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic support and response, which have definitely contributed to the success of this event.
Finally, we hope that each one of you has gained a basic understanding of Hong Kong’s legal system, especially the criminal justice system in Hong Kong, from this event. See you next time.
