Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC)
On 2 December 2025, the Department of Law and Business at Hong Kong Shue Yan University had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre (FDRC) to deliver a guest lecture for students of the course LAW314 Commercial Dispute Resolution.
We were honoured to be joined by the following members of the FDRC team: Mr. T. Y. Lee, Dispute Resolution Manager; Ms. Ruby Chow, Assistant Public Relations and Event Manager; Mr. Gordon Leung, Case Officer; and Mr. Christopher Redfield, Case Officer.
Drawing on their professional experience, the speakers introduced the work and functions of the FDRC, discussed key considerations in resolving financial disputes, and shared practical perspectives on dispute resolution processes in Hong Kong’s financial landscape. The lecture offered students a meaningful bridge between theoretical learning and real-world practice, and prompted engaging discussion throughout the session.
The Department was also honoured by the presence of Professor Leung Hing Fung, Head of the Department of Law and Business, who joined the session in support of this academic and professional exchange.
